Effect of phased psychological intervention on the treatment of pain and anxiety after TACE in patients with primary liver cancer

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the effect of phased psychological intervention onthe treatment of pain and anxiety after TACE in patients with primary liver cancer(PLC). Methods:A total of 200 patients with primary liver cancer who were treated with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization were randomly divided into two groups, with 100 patients in each group. Control group was given conventional care while the study group was intervention group based on conventional care Implement phased psychological intervention. The number rating scales (NRS) pain score and the degree of anxiety were compared between the two groups. Results:The NRS scores of both groups showed a downward trend after operation. The pain scores of the intervention group at 24、48 and 72 hours after surgery were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), and the patient anxiety scores were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Phased psychological intervention can effectively reduce the pain and anxiety of patients with primary liver cancer after TACE.
